A BILL FOR AN ACT
RELATING TO STATE ORGANIZATION AND ADMINISTRATION.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF HAWAII:
SECTION 1. Chapter 26, Hawaii Revised Statutes, is amended by adding a new section to part I to be appropriately designated and to read as follows:
"[Underlined: §26][Underlined: - ] [Underlined: Policy and procedures for effecting organizational and functional statement changes; report.] [Underlined: (a)] [Underlined: Any state executive branch department, office, or other agency shall comply with directive number 19-02, Hawaii Administrative Directives, as extended by directive number 23-01, Hawaii Administrative Directives, when making changes in its organization or functions.]
[Underlined: (b) Each state executive branch department, office, or other agency shall submit a report of its compliance pursuant to subsection (a) to the legislature no later than twenty days prior to the convening of the regular session of ][Underlined: 2026 and every year thereafter.]"
SECTION 2. New statutory material is underscored.
SECTION 3. This Act shall take effect upon its approval.
